HalloweenCostumes.com: Product Review

Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-do
I have another puzzle for you
Oompa Loompa doom-pa-da-dee
If you are wise, you'll listen to me...
product: Kid's Chocolate Factory Worker Costume

category: clothing / costume / Halloween

packaging:  plastic sleeve w/ plastic snap - functional and good for storing costume

appearance:  The design and colors look pretty authentic to the Oompa Loompa's in the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film (older version).

quality:  The fabric and craftsmanship are similar to a costume that you could buy in the store for comparable value.  Thin, stretchy fabric with quality seams.  If worn only a couple times around Halloween (with normal wear-and-tear), this costume seems like it could hold up for a few years, at least.  (Not that anybody wants to be the same thing two years in a row...but if you want to pass it around or use it for other purposes - I'm thinking "plays" and such.)

about:   HalloweenCostumes .com is one of the largest Halloween Costume retailers on the web and they carry a HUGE selection (over 4,000 products) of costumes and accessories to make your Halloween costume a hit.   They are Hacker Safe, Verisign Secure, and BBB certified.  They accept all major credit cards and ship both domestic or internationally (to more than 200 countries).

my thoughts/review:  All in all, I think this is a fun costume.  I do think it's a bit expensive, but that comes with the territory in my experience.  I've always cringed at "store-bought" costumes due to the high prices.  This particular costume retails at $48.99.  Would I pay for it normally?  No.  But really, that has more to do with my budget than with the costume itself.  Typically, I'm a attic-raider and/or thrift store-shopper for our Halloween costumes.  If I was to shell out $50 for just one cstume, I would want the whole shebang - but I still have to add white gloves, orange face paint, white eyebrows, and some sort of fun candy-type prop to round it all out.

Fortunately, I'll be able to do "my thing" with the Oompa Loompa's counterpart (sister)...which will be Violet Beauregarde in this case...by buying an extra large blue sweatsuit and stuffing it with pillows and such (then adding violet face and hand paint and a big ol' wad of gum).

So, IF you're used to spending a good penny on Halloween costumes, I definitely think checking out the VAST selection that HalloweenCostumes .com has to offer would be worth your time.  Not only can you find fun foodie costumes, you can go in pretty much any direction you choose.

*I received this costume free of charge to test and review.  All opinions stated in this post are 100% my own.
