Foodies Read 2016: My Challenge Log

Foodies Read 2016: My Challenge Log
With the new year quickly approaching, I've decided that I need a new challenge. While I do share books and cookbooks on a fairly regular basis already, I came across the Foodies Read Challenge hosted by Heather at Based On A True Story recently and decided to hold myself a little more accountable. I do have several shelves, piles, and boxes of books that I've been "meaning to" devote some time to anyway.

I hope you'll enjoy following along with this challenge. I will post the titles I've read on this page, as well as links to the monthly link-ups at Based On A True Story so that you have some great resources for titles to add to your own shelf or as gift ideas for the foodie bookworms in your life.

Foodies Read Challenge Levels
  • Short Order Cook: 1 to 3 books
  • Pastry Chef: 4 to 8 books
  • Sous Chef: 9 to 13 books
  • Chef de Cuisine: 14 to 18
  • Cordon Bleu Chef: More than 19

Or choose the a la carte option and just read a book about food anytime you can!

Any type of book goes in this challenge if food is a major part of the plot (and it can also be a cookbook) - fiction, non-fiction, cozies, culinary mysteries, memoirs, etc! This makes it easy for me to choose the level of the challenge I'm going to accept as Cordon Bleu Chef. I devour cookbooks like they're novels, so I love that they count towards a book in this challenge. Some I will share a review or spotlight of here on the blog, and for those I'll include a link to the post...others I may just list on this page. We'll see how it goes.
