So, when trying to decide which alcoholic beverages to offer with Thanksgiving dinner, a fizz naturally came to mind. I figured I'd either go pumpkin, ginger, pomegranate, or cranberry. Those flavors are the first to spring to mind when I think Thanksgiving cocktail flavors. I knew that I wanted it to complement the flavor of Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum. Heck, more than complement, I wanted it to show-off the rum!
Cranberry Spiced Rum Fizz

Ingredients (1 large cocktail)
- 3 ounces Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
- 2 ounces cranberry juice
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- few dashes of Blood Orange Bitters
- club soda
- frozen cranberries
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add rum, cranberry juice, lime juice, and bitters. Put on the lid and shake until cold.
If using, drop a few frozen cranberries into the bottom of a tall cocktail glass. Strain the drink into the glass, and top off with club soda. Shake a little cinnamon-sugar over the top, if you like.
