product review: Clearly Fresh® Bags + discount code

I recently put Clearly Fresh® Bags to the test.  What are Clearly Fresh® Bags, you wonder?  Well, they look just like your average zippered plastic bag that you might use for storing opened foodstuffs or food you want to divide and freeze or even use for packing lunches.  Except, they have a little breathable 3" square membrane on the side known as a BreatheWay® membrane.  This little square acts as an Oxygen/Carbon Dioxide passageway, which allows the correct amount of oxygen in while letting more carbon dioxide out.  This provides the ideal atmosphere for fruits and veggies...and slows dehydration.

I divided one bunch of bananas in half .  Half  sat directly on the counter and half went into a Clearly Fresh® Bag.  These were the results.
Clearly Fresh® Bags are large enough to slide a whole bunch of bananas or a head of lettuce into (12"x14"), plus they are recyclable if you cut out the membrane.  How do you use these bags?  Simple!  Once you've brought your fruits and veggies home from the market, grocery store, or garden...just slide them into the bag, press out some of the air and store as usual.  For example, with bananas, mangoes, avocados, apples or other things that you would normally let sit on the counter at room temperature...you would treat them just the same.  Slide them into the bag and let it sit on the counter.  Same goes for items you would store in the refrigerator.  Slide your cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, or berries into the bags and store in the fridge as usual.  You may open the bags and take out what you need, when you need it.  If your item has a lot of moisture, you may want to slide a dry paper towel into the bottom of the bag. Clearly Fresh® Bags can extend the shelf life of your fruits and vegetables by up to 50%.  Sound good to you?  Yeah.  Me too.
