Happy Easter

Our Easter Menu
Apple-Cherry-Maple Glazed Ham
Sweet Corn Pudding
Steamed Asparagus drizzled with Truffle Oil
Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
Green Salad
Hawaiian Rolls
Coconut Almond Tart
Lemon Finger Jello w/ Whipped Cream
*revised:  I finally decided on a glaze. I also wound up cutting the Sweet Corn Pudding.  While we do include it almost yearly, I decided in the end that I just didn't feel like making it.  I also dropped the truffle oil...because while I could sip it like a fine wine, nobody else in the fam really cares one way or the other about it...and it didn't necessarily "go" with everything else, so I'll save it for another day.  And we also just went all fingers with the jello...no need for whipped cream.  So in other words, I simplified things.  And it was brilliant.

  10. Happy Easter! I woke up (5 minutes ago) thinking about how I'm going to glaze my ham. I knew then that I had to get out of bed cuz I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.

  13. France...Hawaiian bread is a sweet bread (I've heard Portuguese in origin) that is sweetened with pineapple juice and sometimes coconut extract...there are many different versions floating around. The most famous "Brand" of Hawaiian Bread and Rolls is King's Brand Hawaiian. =)

  14. I was just commenting on someones blog that my ideal Easter menu would be ham and scallopped potatoes. I never cook a ham because I rarely cook for a crowd. So it is ham steaks and scallopped potatoes for me:D
